What is it indicated for?

The AllTest Strep A Rapid Test is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of Streptococcus

pyogenes (Group A β-hemolytic Streptococcus, Strep A) antigens in throat swab specimens from patients with signs and

symptoms of pharyngitis to aid in the diagnosis of Group A Streptococcus infection.

All negative test results should be confirmed by bacterial culture because negative results do not preclude infection with

Group A Streptococcus and should not be used as the sole basis for treatment.

Indications for use as stated in the FDA summary.
