What is it indicated for?

The CAPIOX® Arterial Filter with X-Coating is a pediatric filter that is intended to

filtrate non-biologic particles and emboli, and to facilitate air bubble removal from the

blood flowing through a cardiopulmonary bypass circuit for up to 6 hours. The

polymethoxyethylacrylate coating (PMEA) is intended to reduce the adhesion of platelets

to the blood-contacting surfaces of the device.

Indications for use read by OCR from a scanned FDA summary, so letters may be misread. Check the PDF before quoting it.
